Stopped in at Giddy Ups to hear The Merles on the way home from The Painted Horse Pavilion.  So glad we did!  It’s no secret that we love all kinds of music, but that “traditional” country music is our favorite.  No, that doesn’t necessarily mean “old” country…..there’s a lot of “tradition” in some of the new music!  And, hearing these young people proves that the tradition is going to stay…..no matter what the record companies think.  :)   Just checked their schedule and they’ll be back at Giddy Ups on the 26th of February.  Don’t know if we’re going to be able to make it, but hope you will.  We think you’ll really enjoy the music they play and the fun they have on stage!  You can learn more about them and hear some of their music on their MySpace page  (http://www.myspace.com/themerles)
