 The
People's Choice band was started back in the mid 70s. They still play
to 'packed houses' every time they pick up their instruments.
While the rest of us have gotten older....these guys haven't. They must've found the legendary fountain of youth!! When Dobie had her bar, Country Music Showplace, 'The Choice' were regulars on the band schedule and always had a large, loyal fan base. Wish I'd been there, but, from what I see now....I don't think very much has changed!
When Ron left the band in January, 2005, to spend more time with his family, Bucky left his post as bass player and sometimes vocalist to step up to the mic as the lead vocal. Are we ever glad he did! For a guy that's so soft spoken, his singing voice has a surprising strength...and we enjoy it! Kerry joined the band to take over Bucky's bass position and added a slide trombone and vocals at the same time (Ask him to do Brooks and Dunn's Maria! sometime). Yep! The People's Choice is still THE CHOICE!!!!

We
don't get to see the guys very often because they play venues that are
a little further away. (Or, maybe I just need to watch their schedule
a little closer!) But, when we see them, we're still in awe of their talent.
