I'd gone to hear John Casner several times and really enjoyed his show. He always has great musicians playing with him! But, the most interesting part of the show is John himself. While he sings a lot of the classic country, he also does songs by Cody Hubach, Blaze Foley, Jubal Clark and other well known Austin songwriters that are no longer with us. I think that's what makes John so dear to me. He looks to the future, but never forgets the past. Besides, he's funny and really nice. Catch him at a club some night and you'll see what I mean.
