We met Haydn Vitera while he was still with Ray Benson's band, Asleep at the Wheel.  We weren't ever lucky enough to see him with the Wheel, but every Tuesday night that we went to see the 'Asleep in the Hole' band at Nephew's, we'd marvel at this young man's talent on vocals, the guitar, and the fiddle.

The evening we went to Hills Cafe to see Billy Joe Shaver at the KVET Texas Music Series, we also saw Ricky Calmbach inside at the cafe.  But, our night was made perfect by a short drive up to the Saxon Pub to see Haydn with his band.

I hadn't planned to take any pictures.  Then, we realized we were seeing 'magic'!  Haydn and the guys did everything from solid country to blues to rock.  And, I'm telling you....if you ever hear Haydn do Damn Those Eyes, you'll have goose bumps!  Get your copy of Haydn's CD....it's proof that music is a universal language!

Even better?  Go see him in person....you won't be sorry......ever!!!
