Because I'd changed jobs last year, I'd missed my annual trip to Illinois.  Then...the kids planned to come down to Texas for 2 weeks so I still didn't go to see them.  Well, when their plans changed (for very good reasons!), it was time for Mom to head north!

Besides, Andy was petitioning the courts to officially adopt Maggie & Drew.  I had to be there!!  What kind of grandma would I be if I missed an occasion that important?
