On the weekend of the first Saturday of every November, the Frank X Tolbert Original
Chili Cook-off takes place 'behind the store' in Terlingua, TX. There's 'show', bean, pea, brisket, margarita, and chili competitions.
Every evening there's 4 or 5 hours of good music to enjoy from your camp or up close
at the stage. The camping is a little 'rough' with no hookups for electricity or water (the showers are 5 miles away). But, everyone has so much fun, the lack of conveniences really doesn't matter. Its fun to sit around campfires spending time with friends! Here are some pictures of Terlingua and some local events on the 'road to Terlingua'!
