Every spring, Austin hosts SXSW a film and music festival held over a two week period.

I'd seen a SXSW "private party" on Brent's schedule and figured it was probably some big party with record executives and other movers-and-shakers in the music industry. I was happy for the guys, but knew I didn't classify as a prospective guest!  So, I forgot about it.

Then, I saw Bill's comment on his MySpace page that they were getting ready to play at Irie Bean Coffee Bar.  I knew of the coffee bar and it never crossed my mind this was the "big party" so......I went!

When I got there, I ran into Brent in the parking lot.  I told him I was going to get a drink and would be out back where they were setting up.  When he told me to come in the back with the band if I had any problems getting in, I realized this was the "private party"!  Ooooops!

Well, for a "private party", there wasn't much security......I bought my tea and walked right out to the "party" without anyone questioning who I was or why I was there.  There weren't a lot of people but the ones that were there really seemed to enjoy what they were hearing from the guys.

Brent introduced me to Bill's wife, Tracie, and we had a blast giving the guys a bit of a hard time.....quietly of course!  After all, it was a "private party"!  :)
