You have not enjoyed the real Austin music scene 'til you go to the local UPscale grocery to enjoy a large bowl of soup from the Cafe while listening to the harmonizing of The Hummingbirds.

Jim, Karen, and Suzanna are all well known Austin musicians, but really shine with their "Part Bluegrass, All Kick A**" acoustic standards and originals.

This was probably one of the most pleasant Sunday afternoons I'd enjoyed in a long time.

The Hummingbirds don't seem to have a lot of shows due to their individual musical schedules and family responsibilities so check their websites, their MySpace pages, and venue listings to find them the next time they are playing near you.  Then GO and enjoy!!
