Here's the setup....Albert called Nancy at Giddy Ups and asked if he and Chris could play on a Wednesday night.  He couldn't tell her what it would sound like other than 'you know you can trust me....it's going to be good'!  Thank goodness she trusted him!The band didn't even have a name 'til the morning of the gig.  Chris and Gene met for the first time as they were setting up the equipment.  No time for practice or advertising (except an email I sent to everyone I knew....and a few I didn't know!).  We didn't know what to expect.  But, we knew it would be good.....just like Albert said.  After all...how can you go wrong with three of the most versatile musicians in Texas setting up to 'jam'?  NOBODY was disappointed!!

Next time, Gene might not be available to play bass because Dale Watson is coming back and that's Gene's full-time gig.  So.....we just enjoyed him while we could.

If you weren't there, you missed a heck of a show.  If you were there, you know you witnessed some 'magic'.  Make sure to keep an eye on the schedules and be there the next time this group is anywhere near you!!
