Dale took a break at the beginning of the year to spend more time with his family.  But, he came back for the SXSW Film Festival where Zalman King premiered Dale's story in the docu-drama Crazy Again.  While he was here, he honored us with shows at The Spoke, Ginny's, and The Continental.  We knew we probably couldn't make all three so we picked The Broken Spoke....as did a whoooole bunch of other people!  In fact, it was an all-time record attendance!  We heard later that they had 1,000 people at Ginny's Little Longhorn (you have to realize that Ginny's is TINY!) and another record attendance at The Continental. 

Even though I'd gotten over 70 pictures at The Spoke, I missed the best one.  Dale sang Happy Birthday to Dobie and then did 'her' song, Tequila & Teardrops.  I wanted to let her shine so I went back to the table and missed it when Dale had her get up on stage with him.   (A photographer should never let her guard down!)

It was so good to see Dale AND The Lonestars.  We really miss them, but they'll be back!  In the meantime, we have our memories and CDs.  Which reminds me....get a copy of Dale's latest CD, Whiskey Or God.  It has Tequila & Teardrops included.....along with a bunch of other great 'Dale songs'.  :)
