This is becoming a habit.....going to see Ricky and the guys on our birthdays! First Teree and I and now Dobie. Guess we'll just have to make sure we keep this tradition! The Tin Star is a converted beer distribution warehouse. Whoever was responsible for turning it into a dancehall sure knew what they were doing. The dance floor is huge and always just the right 'dancing slick'. The acoustics are unbelievable. We've been there on nights with both large and small crowds and the sound is always perfect. Take a sweater or jacket, though.....we've frozen every time we've gone! ;) I even learned a lesson this time. To get closer pictures of Caleb on his drum solo, I decided to stand on the ramp musicians use to wheel equipment up on stage. Word of advice....don't do that....it's slicker than the dance floor!! Next time I'll use the steps! Besides being royally entertained by Ricky and the band, Kenny's dad treated us to a couple of songs and then he and Kenny did a duet. You just don't find entertainment like this everywhere! And you don't find guys this nice everywhere, either! |
