Well...it was an interesting Friday night...for the band and audience!

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that all the tables were pushed back making a bigger dance floor.  Then...there were no chairs except for two saved for Mary Jane's daughter and myself!  There weren't even very many people I recognized.....really unusual since The Stardust is one of only two clubs in South Austin that our old friends frequent.  To top it all off, John was in his work clothes.....not his usual starched 'cowboy look'.  (At least that ended up making sense when he told me he'd come straight from work.)  The usual cast of characters was there from the 'Bendele Bunch'.  But, even we were a little subdued because Jay, Lynn, and Lori were all a little 'under the weather'.  Overall, though, everyone was having a good time.

The guys did a great job at entertaining everyone.  Even when one slightly inebriated young lady first tried to get on stage with them and....when that didn't work...stood in front of them and 'flashed' them.  She was eventually asked to leave by management, but, she'd probably had enough fun for a couple of evenings!  ;)

Then, during the last set, a scuffle broke out....basically right in our laps.  Now....that scuffle only lasted a minute....maybe two....but, I'm sure it had grown to the next World War by Saturday night!

My purpose in bringing up both the young lady and the scuffle is to COMMEND the band for handling both incidents professionally and the bar staff's quick and professional response.  The response of the band and staff kept the interruptions to minor hiccups that didn't affect the fun everyone else was having.

I've always felt comfortable and safe at the Stardust, and now I know why.
Thanks to ALL for keeping the night fun!
