When we heard Rex Robards was opening for Billy Joe Shaver at the Texas Tavern in Brenham....we had to be there.  What a night!

Of course, anytime Billy gets on stage is a treat.  It was just made even more special since the band was the one his son played with before his untimely death.

If you ever have a chance to see this 'legend', be sure to take advantage of it.  Besides the impressive (almost unbelievable) original song list, Billy delivers the message that we should never, ever, give up....no matter how bad we think things are right now.  We all need to hear that once in a while!
