What a fun night!! Buddy and Sharon had a reunion to attend so Albert Perez sat in on drums. Albert's regular gig is with the John Bendele Band, but he sure enjoyed playing the classics with Sam and the guys. We're looking forward to Buddy's return next time, but he can rest assured that Albert did a good job. The crowd was really good, too, with lots of dancers. The only thing that could have been better is for the weather to have co-operated by cooling down! The heat didn't seem to keep the dancers from getting on the floor. But, the guys sure did get warm. It was fun having Tony sit in for a few songs.At one point, I made a mistake. I left the camera....turned on....within Dobie's reach. That girl doesn't miss a trick! She got Dave to take pictures! At the end, we got good pictures of Albert with both Sam and Jim. Somehow, we missed getting pictures with Wes and Fred.....guess we'll have to to that next time! |
