 A club the guys were scheduled to play in burned down leaving them with an open Saturday night on the schedule. They decided to use that night for a free concert in Austin for the fans that support them when they aren't on the road. For a Christmas gift, Dale gave each person that would come to the stage and visit with him during break a free CD.....an un-released version. You can bet we were there!!!
You know what, though? We would've been there even if he wasn't giving away a special CD. We would've been there if there'd been a cover charge. We would've been there just because we enjoy the guys so much. I wanted to take a lot of pictures of this special occasion, but, we were seated in the back of the room (teach us to get there late!). But, by hook and by crook, we worked ourselves into a front row table (imagine that!).
We just didn't realize that directly on the other side of the guys from where we were sitting was a sign....painted with reflective paint! A sign that loved camera flash! Almost every picture was ruined (I must take photography lessons!). I mean, we know the guys are all 'angels', but the halos around their heads in the pictures had nothing to do with that! So....there were only three salvageable pictures. ;( The guys were great......it was a wonderful 'Christmas present' that we wouldn't have missed for the world. Besides, we got to meet Becky and Karolyn....fans of Dale's from Houston. Two really sweet ladies! Ya'll missed a great show! |
