When I first started going out in Austin, there was a 50+ year old bar in South Austin called the Fast Car Bar (well...that was it's latest name).

All our friends kind of 'hung out' there.  And, it was a 'jumping off' place if we headed some place else for the evening.  We had parties at least once a month to celebrate birthdays.  And, there were Super Bowl parties, NASCAR racing parties, some music, benefits, and just good fun!

I recently found these pictures of a fish fry!

All the guys love to go fishing.....still go every chance they get.  And, they enjoy showing off their catch!  Since they always do the cooking, we're more than happy to let them!

They set up an assembly line to clean the shrimp and cook all the treats.  We bring the cole slaw and whatever else to compliment the meal.  Then....we eat!

The Fast Car Bar is now gone....progress built a Wal-Mart.  But, we just 'moved' over to Giddy Ups (owned by the same lady) and the tradition continues.

Hmmmmm......wonder when they're going again????
